Jorge Andres Bedoya Bedoya was born in a small town in Colombia, Anserma(Caldas), the town where he discovered his vocation. He is the eleventh of twelve siblings, 8 brothers and 4 sisters. His parents (Horacio and Ligia)are both deceased. Jorge completed his high school education in Anserma. In January 2000, He started his formation to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Medellin, Colombia. He graduated from Bolivarian Pontifical University in Medellin, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Philosophy. Jorge started his theology formation at the same University and studied Theology for one and a half year. In June 2004, he moved to the United States to work with Fr. Santiago Granados in the Hispanic Ministry of the Diocese of Savannah at Queen of Peace Church, Lakeland, GA. Jorge was ordained a Deacon Nov. 28, 2009 and He will return to St. Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, PA. for his final semester of studies in Jan.
